Adult Programs Associate

Teaching Aides for Toward Tomorrow Program

The JCC of Mid-Westchester is seeking to hire 2 one to one teaching aides for its Toward Tomorrow Program for preschoolers with developmental delays. This position requires experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. The position’s hours are Mon. – Fri. 8:45 to 11:45 am.  The start date is Sept. 8, 2014 thru June 24, 2015. A future hire must have experience working with young children, be able to work with the classroom special education teacher, and be energetic.

 Special Needs Teaching Positions

The JCC is in the midst of growing its stellar Special Needs programs, which takes into account a holistic approach for families with Special needs children.

The JCC of Mid-Westchester is seeking to hire 2 teachers for their Sunday/Funday program offered under Developmental Disabilities Enrichment Services.  The program provides a 3 hour social skills curriculum through art, music, movement, technology, theater, social skills and sports. The program also provides respite for caregivers during this time.

This position requires experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities ages 4-12. The position’s hours are  Sundays 8:45 am-12:15 pm for 2, 13 week sessions.  The start date is October 5, 2014 ending in June 21, 2015.  Teachers must have a minimum of an undergraduate degree in education or social work, masters is preferred.  Must be outgoing with positive energy, ability to collaborate with colleagues, personable, and  knowledgeable about ASD.
