Camp Gadol
2 yrs – entering grade 4
Traditional day camp introduces campers to a variety of professionally led activities and weekly special events including instructional and recreational swim in our heated indoor pool (sprinkler activities for ages 2-3), gymnastics, a variety of different sports activities, arts & crafts, nature, elective afternoons (grades 2-4) and much more. Early drop off/late pick up available.

Camp Xtreme
For campers entering grades 5-8
Designed specifically for tweens, Xtreme will give your child an exciting summer experience that will combine all the favorites of Camp Gadol with additional sophisticated activities. Highlights include afternoon electives, specialists’ visits and trips. Early drop off/late pick up available.


Summer Arts Center
For campers entering grades 3-
10
SAC was developed for the creative and independent child who is interested in the arts. Campers create a custom schedule of up to 20 different classes/week (4/day), all taught by professionals in
the field.

Dance Intensive Camp
For campers entering grades 7 and up
The serious and experienced dance student will enjoy a comprehensive curriculum of dance and dance-related classes taught by professionals.

CIT/LIT Program
For teens
ages 14 &15
The CIT/LIT Experience offers teens the opportunity to gain hands-on counselor training and leadership experience with social action initiatives and weekly trips. CITs that successfully complete our summer program may be invited back as a junior counselor.

Caryn Symons, Director of Camping
This is Caryn’s fourth year as Director of Camping at the JCC . Caryn is no stranger to the JCC. In addition to 10 years as a teacher of all ages in the Nursery School, she was a Head Counselor at Camp Gadol for four years prior to becoming Director in 2010. She brings to camp a love of children and her own brand of creativity, enthusiasm and community spirit that will enrich each child's camp experience. Caryn received her Masters Degree in Education from Queens College and was an award winning High School Guidance Counselor before raising her two sons, who are both alumni of the JCC Nursery School and Camp.
