The Theatre School offers acting and theater instruction for aspiring young artists. Performance opportunities and musical theatre workshops are offered annually. Our professional staff helps you explore your thespian talents in our state-of-the-art theatre, the Bendheim Performing Arts Center.

Summer Extras! New for 2017!

6 – 11 years old
Monday, August 14 – Friday, August 18 • 9:30am – 3:00pm
Add a week of theatre to your summer. JCCMW is teaming up with TADA!, a unique Drama Desk award-winning non-profit youth theater from NYC that produces original musicals for children, teens, and family audiences. With TADA!’s Professional Teaching Artists, campers will create and perform an original mini-musical in just five days!

Tiny Tunes

For ages 3 – 4.5 years. In this class children will enjoy singing silly songs, the Beatles, Broadway music and more.  They will explore music concepts such as dynamics, rhythm and pitch to foster a love of music and expression. Instructor: Amy Schiff

Musical Theatre

For grades 2-5.  This class will focus on Broadway-style, basic musical theatre skills, games and improvisation, including singing, acting, and dancing.
Each session will culminate in an end-of-session showcase.

Kerri LuBell is a graduate of the Academy of Dramatic Art. She is an Equity actress who has appeared at the Public Theatre, the Manhattan Theatre Club, Lincoln Center, the Kitchen and many other off-Broadway venues. Favorite regional roles included Helen in “The Miracle Worker,” Chava in “Fiddler on the Roof,” Sally Bowles in “Cabaret” and Hermia in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” She was fortunate to travel to Florence, Italy with the Williamstown Summer Theatre’s Obie award winning production. Kerri teaches drama, dance, art and music for ages two through senior citizens.
