At JCCMW, we pride ourselves on the quality of our camp staff.  All groups are led by experienced educators, supported by carefully vetted and trained counselors, many of whom attended JCCMW summer programs as campers themselves.

Debbie Cohen-Bahl, Day Camp Director

Please join us in welcoming our new Camp Director, Debbie Cohen-Bahl! Debbie is a career educator with many years of camp experience. She holds a Masters Degree in Special Education and also serves as the Site Director of JCCMW’s Nursery Program in White Plains.

Brian Symons, Assistant Camp Director
Brian has grown up with the JCC, in many different roles, from camper, to student, to camp counselor, to assistant teacher, and now to a Leader of Summer Days at the J. He has always had great passion for not only the JCC, but for Camp, and is excited to bring that enthusiasm to this new role. His years of experience not only as a camper, but also as a counselor brings a new insight of creativity and fun to the always exciting camp program. Brian is currently studying psychology at NYU, and is eager to prepare for this awesome summer.

Serina Cirillo

Serina first joined the JCC as an instructor entering the 2005 fall season until 2009 when she then went on to pursue her B.S. at Seton Hall where she majored in biology and was captain of the university’s dance team. She joined us again in 2013 as the Assistant Director and competitive team coach. She brings her significant competition experience earned as a valued and respected member of our program to her work every day. Serina has achieved quadruple certifications from USA Gymnastics and attained the level of Professional Coach. During her tenure at JCCMW, Serina has demonstrated a dedication and enthusiasm for teaching and nurturing encouragement for our young gymnasts as well as a strong competitive drive.

Kristen McGrew, Dance
Kristen received her early training in Tennessee under master teachers such as the world renowned Anna-Marie Holmes.  She has danced with professional companies Eglevsky Ballet, Charleston Ballet Theater, Bravo Dance!, Tennessee Festival Ballet and Ballet Theater of Pennsylvania and worked as a guest artist throughout the Eastern U.S. and performed across the country, dancing principal roles in the classics and world premieres. Her resume includes classical, contemporary and modern works.  She was the Ballet Mistress at Eglevsky Ballet for ten years under the directorship of Ali Pourfarrokh before becoming the Artistic Director of Nomad Contemporary Ballet. Ms. McGrew has taught at the Ailey School, and master classes and workshops in Puerto Rico, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Long Island, New Jersey and New York.  She has had her choreography presented at Dixon Place for Translate (voices of dance), the Latin Choreographer’s Festival, APAP, Rhode Island’s Great Friends Dance Festival as well as residencies at the Joffrey Dance Center and the Far Space in NYC.
