Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices and disciplines that originated in ancient India. Gentle Yoga focuses on breathing, finding your center, and stretching with elements of Qigong, while Gentle Active Yoga will also include poses and light weights.

This class will slow it down with a focus on breathing, proper alignment, and yoga as a form of good self care.

Gentle Active Yoga

Gentle Hatha Yoga focuses on the centering of the breath and aligning the physical with the mental through gentle movement. This therapeutic practice utilizes props to customize the postures to the needs of each individual.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is a more intense yoga to enhance flexibility, strength, and overall performance. The word “vinyasa” can be translated as “arranging something in a special way,” like yoga poses, for example.

In Vinyasa Yoga classes, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next.
