The JCC offers several different yoga classes:

  • Yoga emphasizes the mind and body connection. Exploration here will guide you through the foundations of yoga postures (asanas) while emphasizing flexibility, breathing, and relaxation techniques.
  • Restorative Yoga focuses on the centering of the breath and body-aligning the physical with the mental utilizing gentle movement. This therapeutic practice utilizes props to customize the postures to the needs of each individual.  All yogis are welcome, regardless of physical limitations.

Yoga is taught by Tao Porchon-Lynch, yoga teacher at the JCC since 1983 and author of several books about yoga.
