Youth Ballet Dress Code
The JCCMW's ballet dress code is designed to encourage unity and discipline among our dance students. Regardless of gender identity, students in each class are required to choose between a color-coded leotard (see below) or a white shirt and black tights or leggings. Pink tights should be paired with pink ballet shoes (leather or canvas) and black tights or leggings should be paired with white socks and white ballet slippers (leather or canvas).
Hair must be off the neck and pinned up for all classes. No jewelry permitted. Male-identifying dancers should wear a dance belt beginning with Level I.
Repertoire Dance Shop in Scarsdale stocks all our uniforms.
Pink leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers. Simple pink skirts permitted.
White leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers. Simple white skirts permitted (no tutus).
Lilac leotard with attached skirt (Ardecia by Wear Moi), pink-footed tights, and pink ballet slippers.
Mint leotard with attached skirt (Ardecia by Wear Moi), pink footed-tights, and pink ballet slippers.
Rose leotard with attached skirt (Ardecia by Wear Moi), pink-footed tights, and pink ballet slippers.
French blue leotard with attached skirt (Nicea by Wear Moi), pink-footed tights, and pink ballet slippers.
Black leotard with attached skirt (Nicea by Wear Moi), pink footed tights, and pink ballet slippers.
Any color leotard, pink-footed tights, and pink ballet slippers. Simple skirts are permitted.
