Toward Tomorrow Preschool

Special education services

warm + caring

To provide a continuum of special-education services in a play-based, educational setting. Focused on teaching independence and interpersonal skills, while meeting the individual needs of children and their families.

Use a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach in conjunction with a positive atmosphere to teach all our students how to be active members of school and society, while supporting their parents in the process.

An Atmosphere of Warmth and Enthusiasm

The Special Needs Department offers a variety of programs, a caring and experienced staff, and a nurturing environment for children two and a half years to five years of age. The programs best serve children who have delays in communication, motor, and/or social development.

Every child is encouraged to explore, experiment, create, and progress at a rate comfortable for them. We foster the development of positive self-esteem and help promote independence using hands-on activities. There is special emphasis on the development of language, fine and gross motor skills, social interaction, and independence.
