Verve Trip: The Angel Levine

Join us at the Jacob Burns Film Center for a special screening of the thought-provoking 1970 film The Angel Levine. Zero Mostel stars as Morris Mishkin, an elderly Jewish tailor who, plagued by hard times, prays to God for help. His prayers are answered in the form of a most unusual angel named Levine, a young hustler played by Harry Belafonte.
