Vacation Programs

When school is out of session, JCCMW has you covered! Our vacation programs, offered throughout the year, provide a safe, fun, and educational environment for kids to spend their time off.

Our experienced and caring staff lead a wide variety of activities and programs that are designed to keep kids engaged, active, and learning. From gymnastics and dance to arts and crafts, there is something for everyone. We also offer special STEM programs that allow kids to explore new interests!

Our programs are open to children of all backgrounds. We believe in creating a welcoming and inclusive environment, and our staff is dedicated to ensuring that every child feels safe, supported, and valued.

Flexible scheduling options—including daily options—are available.

Join us during the school break for arts and crafts, storytime, playing in our playground, and much more in our early childhood vacation program. Spring into fun with old and new friends! Flexible scheduling allows you to register for one, two, three, four, or all five mornings/days.

Enjoy a morning of ballet, tap, creative movement, arts and crafts,  making new friends, and having fun!

Flexible schedule: register for one, two, three, or all four mornings.

Bring water and a nut-free snack and wear your "messy" clothes. Leggings recommended.

Gymnastics

Our gymnastics programs are perfect for children of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced athletes. Our experienced coaches use innovative techniques to help children develop their skills and build their confidence. They'll have a blast learning new skills and perfecting their routines in a fun and supportive environment.

Daily options are available for each program. Weekly options are available for some programs. You may only attend the days for which you are registered.

 

Typical Schedule

9:00–9:15: Arrival

9:15–10:15: Warm up, stretch, morning game

10:15–11:00:  Vault and tumble

11:00–11:45: Uneven bars

11:45–12:30: Lunch

12:30–1:15: Activity (art, dance, outdoor play, gym game)

1:15–2:00: Balance beam

2:00–2:45: Floor exercise

2:45–3:00: Cool down and dismissal

Our sports and fitness programs help children develop skills, coordination, and confidence while having fun and meeting new friends!  Participants enjoy arts and crafts, games, and a range of sports activities.

Typical Schedule

9:00–9:10 AM: Arrival

9:15–9:35 AM: Warm up, stretch, morning game

9:35–10:30 AM:  Arts & Crafts

10:30-11:55 AM: Morning Sports Activity (Basketball, soccer, zumba, kickball, etc.) - Each day may be a combination or a single activity.

12:00–1:00 PM: Lunch

1:15–2:30 PM: Afternoon Sports Activity

2:45–3:30 PM: Activity (arts and crafts, dance, movie), snack, and dismissal

Explore physics, coding, robotics, and art in our Friedland Makerspace.

April 22–26: April STEAM Vacation Program
Ages 4–7
9:00 AM–12:00 PM

Join us during the April break in the Friedland Makerspace for our half-day STEAM vacation program. Each day will be a different theme with activities including arts and crafts, projects, and science experiments.

Register for one, two, three, four, or all five mornings of fun and learning!

Monday, April 22: STEAM Ever After

Children can help storybooks come to life with hands-on art and science projects based on our favorite tales. Topics include Save the Gingerbread Man, Float Your Boat, and Save the Rainforest.

Tuesday, April 23: STEAM Ever After

Children can help storybooks come to life with hands-on art and science projects based on our favorite tales. Topics include Let's Go Fly, Save Rapunzel, and The Three Little Pigs.

Wednesday, April 24: Discovering STEAM 

Children will enjoy hands-on, project-based challenges designed to tap into critical thinking skills with an emphasis on innovation and creativity. Topics include Intro to Scientific Method, Chemical Reactions, and It's Logical.

Thursday, April 25: Intro to Robotics

Children will learn all about robots and the processes and steps essential in coding.  They will be introduced to the Bee-Bots and learn about commands while completing tasks that will have increasing levels of complexity. Topics include Hour of Code Part 1, Hour of Code Part 2, and Get to Know Your Robot.

Friday, April 26: Intro to Robotics

Children will learn all about robots and the processes and steps essential in coding.  They will be introduced to the Bee-Bots and learn about commands while completing tasks that will have increasing levels of complexity. Topics include Bee-Bot Colors, Bee-Bot Shapes, and Bee-Bot Numbers & Letters.
